Course Overview

Through engaging lessons, hands-on activities, and real-world examples, students will learn the importance of cybersecurity and how to responsibly and confidently navigate the digital world.

No prior cybersecurity knowledge is required, though familiarity with basic computing concepts is beneficial.

Course Objective

The course’s primary objectives are to develop digital awareness and empower students with skills in online safety and security. Students will learn to:
Develop secure digital habits, including password management, two-factor authentication, and safe browsing.
Identify and understand common online threats, such as phishing, malware, and ransomware.
Recognize tactics used in online scams and social engineering attacks, with a focus on email and messaging platforms.
Apply basic security practices to protect personal devices and information.
Reflect on ethical considerations in online spaces, focusing on privacy and respect for others.
Demonstrate the ability to respond to online threats and maintain online safety.

Course Lessons

 Time Commitment

The course is designed to be completed in approximately 40 hours of study time.

This includes 12 hours (1 practice per 1 lesson), 4 hours for self-assessments, a final test, and uncertain time for optional self-study activities (research, reading, etc).
